Kidnetic Energy is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to providing dance
and gymnastics classes for children with special
needs. We want children who have historically been
excluded from these types of classes to have the same
opportunity for fun, recreation and socialization
that dancing and gymnastics can provide! Kidnetic Energy was founded by Julie
Mills because of her niece, Gabby, who participates
in Kinetic
Kids, a nonprofit organization in San Antonio,
Texas that provides recreational activities for children
with special needs. After counting several advertisements
in the local newspaper for dance and gymnastics classes
but none for children with disabilities, Julie decided
other children deserved to have the same opportunity.
With guidance and support of the co-founder
and Director of Kinetic Kids, along with her personal
desire, Julie’s dream to bring a similar organization
to central Ohio has come true. Her goal is to provide
children with special needs the opportunity to participate
in an ongoing, thriving program of dance and gymnastics
classes. With support from the amazing people in this
community, the organization is on its way to realizing
that goal!
